Getting Pre-Approved
 

You can save time and money when you get pre-approved before starting your home search. Just imagine finding that perfect home only to learn that someone else bought it before you had the chance because you were not prepared to immediately submit your pre-approval letter or worse that you really could not get approved for the loan. I always recommend you submit a pre-approval letter with an offer. You can submit a pre-qualification letter but this does not make as strong of an offer as a pre-approval letter.

Pre-Qualification vs. Pre-Approval

  • A Pre-Qualification Letter is based on the review of your credit report only.
  • A Pre-Approval Letter is based on the review of your income and assets as well as your credit report.

Getting pre-approved can also reveal problems with your credit that might need fixing before you are able to purchase a home at the best possible interest rate available. Pre-approval can be easily done over the phone.
